FLIGHTS TO SAN ANTONIO, TX

San Antonio International Airport (SAT)

San Antonio in Brief

Of the big cities gracing the state of Texas, San Antonio sits the furthest south and west. Famous as the site of the 18th century battle for Texas independence from Mexico, the city’s known today as a busy destination with a patchwork of growing neighborhoods and a popular River Walk pedestrian pathway surrounding the San Antonio river that runs through downtown.

After your flight to San Antonio, you might need to stretch your legs. Start in Hemisfair Park, the large greenspace that’s home to several of the city’s prominent attractions, including the Tower of the Americas — a Texas-style Space Needle, complete with a restaurant and bar. From there, wander the River Walk over to the growing Pearl District. Home to boutique hotels like Hotel Emma, breweries and bike-able paths to museums and historic sites.

There’s no shortage of history and culture in San Antonio, with The Alamo, McNay Art Museum and more all located centrally in San Antonio. If you’re headed outside San Antonio proper, you’ll still find plenty to enjoy too. Try a Texas dance hall, hike the cave in Stone Oak or even go tubing in the Comal River to beat the Sun Belt summer heat.

San Antonio International Airport

Sitting around 8 miles from downtown and popular River Walk, the San Antonio airport serves over 8 million passengers annually. It offers 24 gates at two large terminals, Terminal A and Terminal B. Generally, international and domestic flights operate out of Terminal A, with domestic routes operating out of Terminal B. You’ll find most Delta flights in Terminal A also, depending on scheduled flights.
