3DE

Delta supports 3DE, opens in a new window schools in seven markets across the U.S. 3DE aims to re-engineer education to create engaging learning environments and empower students to unlock greater economic opportunity in today’s global society. Originally launched in the Atlanta area in 2015, 3DE is centered on the belief that equitable access to high quality education is the lever to economic mobility.

Junior Achievement

Through a partnership that now spans to 32 Junior Achievement, opens in a new window chapters across four continents, Delta has helped ignite an educational spark in students through work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy programs. Our partnership gives students hands-on experience, including “job shadowing” Delta employees and participating in JA Finance Park programs, immersive simulations for fostering financial literacy.

YMCA

Whether learning to swim or attending after-school tutoring sessions, thousands of young people have benefited from Delta’s partnership with the YMCA, opens in a new window. Delta sponsors 28 YMCA chapters on three continents.

Atlanta Public Schools (APS)

In 2017, Delta launched a five-year partnership with Atlanta Public Schools, opens in a new window (APS) to help improve the quality of education, specifically literacy, for the next generation of Delta employees and customers. Delta employees volunteer as Reading Buddies and Mentors at two APS schools near Delta’s world headquarters. Delta has hosted school events, provided coats and books for students, and sponsored vision screenings for eyeglasses. 

National Flight Academy (NFA)

As official airline of the National Flight Academy, opens in a new window, Delta has sponsored more than 1.600 students to attend this interactive, immersive learning adventure aboard a state-of-the-art, 100,000+ square foot virtual aircraft carrier. In this six-day program, 7-12th graders build STEM and communication skills while experiencing everything from creating flight plans to executing humanitarian missions via 42 networked flight simulators.
