AMT Responsibilities and Career Pathways

At Delta, we offer three distinct pathways to becoming an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT), each designed to accommodate different backgrounds and experiences. You can join our team through Endeavor Air, our wholly-owned subsidiary, where you’ll gain hands-on experience while working on regional aircraft. If you’re a military veteran with relevant maintenance experience, you’ll find a direct pathway into our AMT program, where your skills and service are highly valued. Finally, we partner with A&P schools across the country, providing a clear route for those pursuing certification in A&P mechanics. Each pathway offers a unique opportunity to grow your career and be part of our trusted maintenance team.

Endeavor Air

Endeavor Air is a regional airline owned by Delta that operates the world’s largest fleet of CRJ-900 NexGen aircraft and CRJ-700 regional jets. Endeavor mechanics are eligible for the Delta pathway, which offers the opportunity to advance their career to Delta Air Lines.

Military Service

U.S. Military veterans with relevant experience may qualify for either an AMT or an Aircraft Support Mechanic (ASM) position.
