A must-see in Vancouver is the Museum of Anthropology, dedicated to cultural diversity throughout the world with an emphasis on indigenous cultures of the Northwest. A part of the University of British Columbia, the museum underwent a major expansion in 2010, and in 2017 opened the Gallery of Northwest Coast Masterworks. The museum is a teaching facility that also contains laboratories, a library, archives, and storage facilities.
Explore Stanley Park, a massive urban park that contains multiple environmental ecosystems and so many attractions, you could spend days doing them all. Bike, walk, or run along the five-mile seawall offering stunning views of rain forest, mountains, and Vancouver Harbor. You can also hike wooded trails, ride a train, go to the beach, swim in the pool, dine al fresco, and explore totems.
