Home to NASA at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center and the Texas Medical Center, the city’s known as an industry center for aeronautics, energy, medicine, transportation and shipping. Sports too, with the Houston Astros, Houston Rockets and the Texans. When you fly to Houston, don’t forget about the sprawling Theater and Museum Districts.

If the sun’s more your style, wander through the 445-acre Hermann Park in Houston. It houses endless walking paths and a wide-array of cultivated gardens. For a city this large, it’s no surprise that Houston offers two airports as part of the Houston Airport System. Newer George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and the smaller William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) both serve the region. You can find Delta Air Lines flights out of both destinations, connecting to domestic hubs around the U.S.

  • Both airports sit outside of the city center, offering taxis, limousines, shuttles and rideshare app pick-up in ground transportation
