AMTs are responsible for ensuring the safety and mechanical reliability of each Delta Air Lines flight every day. They have a critical role in keeping millions of people safe each year. AMTs maintain and repair aircraft, engines, components and avionics systems according to Delta and FAA specifications. Specialty fields include avionics, welding, engine, overhaul, engineering and more.
AMT Responsibilities and Career Pathways
Endeavor Air is a regional airline owned by Delta that operates the world’s largest fleet of CRJ-900 NexGen aircraft and CRJ-700 regional jets. Endeavor mechanics are eligible for the Delta pathway, which offers the opportunity to advance their career to Delta Air Lines.
Military Service
Delta TechOps partners with schools across the U.S. to support potential future talent. Students who attend a partner A&P school and successfully obtain an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license are qualified to begin their mechanic journey as an AMT.
Programs typically last 18-24 months. Most schools are eligible for financial aid and VA educational benefits. Choose from over 50 Delta partner schools across the country.
